Tank size for 1bedroom apt?

Great responses.

When we were in our apartment, I had a 56 collum on the first floor.

Two bed room, two bath. We didn't use the second bathroom much and I took the shower head off and put a splitter on it.

Put the RO/DI on the wall next to the shower using toggle bolts. Used a brute 20 gallon can with the wheels, with a mechanical float next to the shower.

As @GoVols stated, using a python to drain during a water change and would roll the brute over to the tank using a utility pump to pump water into the DT.

Just before moving out, I took the RO/DI off the wall and just used some drywall mud to fix the holes. Little sanding and you could never tell.

3 years of this and it worked very well.

Definitely can work.

Hi and Welcome to R2R! Since you are on the first floor, most will say 'get the biggest one you can'... and to an extent, I agree. Just plan accordingly. I know when we rented, we had a really tight turn in the hall that was a pain to get any furniture/stands/tanks in and out of. And I second the mention of the water rider on your renter's insurance... even if you aren't on the second floor, a major leak can also affect the apartment next to you.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I think I'm going to look in the 60 to 80 gallon range, for now. Hopefully, I'll get to take advantage of the Black Friday deals to get more bang for my buck!
