79.2 - 82.7 I"m trying to keep it a little more stable but nothing seems to be unhappy

Is there a scientific reason why zoa's would multiply under that range of temperature??? Or is it just because some of you guys have MH's over the tanks??

Steve
Metal Haildes! I keep my temp at about 76 and the Zoas grow like wild fire. I also grow SPS extremely well at these temperatures. But, I do have about 9+ watts per gallon of metal halides in Lumen-Arc reflectors.

79-81 for me. I run a heater so when the tank hits 78.9 the heater kicks on or my tank would drop to 73-74. No chiller.

77-81.8 (nominally 79.5, but that's hard to hold when it gets warmer). I can't find a heater that will warm the freakin thing. I have several 150W heaters that won't heat a 10 gallon tank overnight...

79-82 daily. with the use of chillers and controllers to intentionally swing it that much. Heating powered by Sequence 24-7 and MH of course when they are on

It makes my corals more resilient I think as well as surely makes them ship better (IMO)when I trade or sell

That's about my range, but I do it on purpose for the reasons fly guy mentioned. 78-79 at night and 80-83 during the day. The range will go up or down a little bit depending on the season but I try to have a 3-4 degree swing from early moring til lights out.

My tank rarely gets over 79. My heaters are set at 78 and my fan turns on when the lights are on. I do lose a gallon and a half of top off water a day.

79-80 all day unless we get a cold front in Miami, yes in Miami we get cold weather as well. I feel that it's the right temp for things to grow, colder always seems to stunt the grown but what do I know.

Mine is around 80 plus or minus a couple depending on how hot it is down here. I'm planning on getting chillers to keep them a little cooler in the summer. I wanna experiment with some temps and see what works best

I keep my heaters unplugged but sitting in the tank incase I need them. I had 2 heaters malfunction and got up to 86* and bleached everything

77-78 here. It's never gone above 78.9 and not sure how it'll handle this summer. I figure with the ceiling fan and LED lights, the tank will stay the same and there won't be a need for a chiller..
