following thread. Currently run Tropic Marin Pro Reef.

I have a 72 gal tank running a waveline dc2500h sump pump, RLSS-R5-i skimmer with another waveline dc2500h. right now I am running a bag of carbon and GFO in the sump and switch to total @Aquaforest in march, but started dosing 1+2+3 in January

1. run the reef salt
2. Switch the products out that you are using now, a lot of there product are premixed for dosing and very simple to switch
3. No, Aquaforest are less expensive and for example you do not have to rinse the GFO. The GFO is clean when you get it. I am still using up carbon from another brand but I will switch over to Aquaforest carbon when I need to.

I just a member that really likes there product:)

Thank you for the help Jsker.
So just slowly make the switch in the salt from RS Coral Pro to the AF Reef salt. Example my next water change is this weekend, so should I do 3/4 RS Coral pro salt and 1/4 of AF reef salt. Then more the next time and so on until I am 100% AF salt?

I just switched, I was also using RS Coral Pro and the tank started looking better after the switch. The Alk in the AQ reef salt is a lot lower then RS Coral Pro. I have been told to run my alk lower for a mixed reef. I was running at 12 to 13 alk and now i am running at 9.5 to 10. I just back down on the alk element in the 1+2+3 (2) to get my alk down to an 8.5 to 8 once it hit the alk level that I would like I will adjust the dose back to keep everything even.

Running pro biotic with biopellets. Info states that it's not recommended to use bio pellets, or carbon dosing, although my tank is doing. I use 1-2-3 for supplements and own pretty much every product or supplement, some are used on one tank or close to all for main tank. Glad to see these products and following this thread. I'll try and get a few pics up of the tanks!

That is a nice aqua scape there.

Awesome reef!

Nice!

Been running the whole AF line for about 4 and a half months now and have seen a huge difference in growth and coloration of my SPS corals. Here are some pictures of my colonies.

i see great results on your tank but how do i copy this results ?!
i guess each tank its different ' but i cant fined no where a video that describes what each bottle is doing or how do u know u need to dose it ' whats the signs that u know u missing this specific element

And here is a link to the Product guide and catalog of Aquaforest. The product guide recommends different uses based on products, and the website give you dosing amounts.

As you are running ULNS, it would be better to run a salt closer to NSW and certainly a max of 8 dKH for improved colours and with intensive lighting there is a risk of burnt tips at higher alkalinity

Probiotic reef salt supports SPS very well and has parameters closer to NSW

If you change to the Probiotic Salt
Look to also start dosing Pro Bio S and NP Pro, this will reduce the reliance on GFO and provide food for the corals in the form of bacterio plankton, as the fish waste is processed, your skimmer should be set for a dry skim
you can continue to use the duel reactor for Zeo Mix Carbon and Phosphate Minus which AF can supply, you are free to stay with current products, though as you are at very low nutrients the Phosphate remover isn't needed with the bacteria and Carbon dose and my strip too much out
Feeding the corals is important as there are few nutrients in the water Aqua Forest Amino, Build, Energy and Vitality are best dosed at half the recommended values at least for the first week and then observe what is happening, you should start to see increased PE and colours slowly increase, if you start to see blooms reduce as the corals have more food than they currently need.

at some point you will be better coming away from Kalk as it is lacking some of the trace elements consider Balling with Components 123 as your coral grow it will become necessary to automate the dosing, this aids stability and this is key to long term coral health.

please have a read at the product guide which gives more in depth information if you haven't already (-)

Good luck with the changes
