@Perry are you still running any phosphate minus and or carbon with the Life Bio Fil?

Yes, I am still using stack method with Zeo Mix, AF Carbon, and Phosphate Minus :)

Do you like it lol. I guess these will take place of my Marine Pure

So far so good, I have not seen nutrients increase since swapping out for 4 liters of matrix, I will be making more adjustments down the line, but I think I will still keep using siporax too. Cheers!

Is this a replacement for carbon and phosphate minus?

Life Bio Fil is basically an additional media, like siporax, or matrix, pre-loaded with bacteria. It does not replace anything in the lineup, it simply expands the surface area for bacteria to colonize and continue to effectively lower N&P. This media is for denitrifying bacteria, whereas Zeo Mix is something different, it is used in rapid removal of ammonia which aids in the breakdown of the nitrification cycle. Carbon and Phosphate Minus are still in play. Cheers

Thank you @Perry

After discussion with AF NP Pro does not fuel cyano. It literally only feeds the bacteria strains in Pro Bio S. As far as the aminos in the probiotic salt, maybe that is what made the removal of the cyano take so long who knows. Maybe the bacteria I was adding outcompeted the cyano for food. I really don't know. I do know that the cyano went away and it was a mess prior to the AF products.

Reef salt for water change is a GREAT idea especially if you do a large water change. Never use probiotic for large water changes.

As far as nutrients, is your tank absent of all algae?

Yes its completely absent of any micro algae.

Darn lol. I need a release date!!!
I regularly troll the Salty Supply website waiting for the products to show up. I am bummed, I have two reefing buddies at MACNA and neither of them scored me a trial bucket of the Life Bio Fil. :)

Hi I just got my AF probiotic reef salt and components 1,2,3 . I was wondering wich component raises alk , wich one raises cal, and wich one raises mag.

Component 1 is Calcium and Mag
Component 2 is Alk
Component 3 is Reef Mineral Salt

All three have trace, but the question based on main minerals, so I left them out

Thank you . And I am supposed to set my doser to dose the amount of each component? Even if my tank does not uses as much cal and mag ,as it uses alk .

I believe your are going to need to adjust for your levels. As in you may dose more Alk than Ca for a while until demand increases, just as you would with a 2 part supplement. But it is my understanding that at some point you will be dosing equal parts of all 3 supplements.

As stated before dose by the demand of your system. Right now I dose less 2+ then 1+3+. When I was adding a bunch of corals my 1+3+ demand was higher, and now I dose less 1+3+ I have 82 gallons water volume and I am dosing 76 ml for 1+3+ and 44 ml for 2+ daily. I split the dose in two, half in the morning and half when the lights go out.
