You did waterchanges with the probiotic salt when you had cyano? Seeing how it contains aminos and such it in theory should fuel cyano? Same goes for np-pro which is a carbon source.

Im just gonna get myself a reef salt bucket and do some waterchanges i guess.

My nutrients always have been on the low side (monthly tritontests show po4 below 0.02). No3 has never been present until now (lost a fish. 2 cleaner shrips and a urchin), now i have a no3 of 5 ppm
After discussion with AF NP Pro does not fuel cyano. It literally only feeds the bacteria strains in Pro Bio S. As far as the aminos in the probiotic salt, maybe that is what made the removal of the cyano take so long who knows. Maybe the bacteria I was adding outcompeted the cyano for food. I really don't know. I do know that the cyano went away and it was a mess prior to the AF products.

Reef salt for water change is a GREAT idea especially if you do a large water change. Never use probiotic for large water changes.

As far as nutrients, is your tank absent of all algae?

What if you use reefsalt, have auto dosing for components 1+, 2+, 3+, but are not able to dose the ABEV for a week or ten days (say going on vacation and can't find a tank sitter...) is that a major issue?
ABEV are not that important if you have a autofeeder and feed your fish during holiday.

NP pro is not the cause its your probiotic salt with all those amino and vitamin which is keeping the nutrient level higher.

So I should be okay with just probiotic salt and components and an autofeeder for 10 days.... wife and I are planning a trip to the Red Sea, and other than auto feeding/dosing, we won't be able to add drops of ABEV or NP Pro or anything else.... should be safe?

Add two more drops of Pro bio S just before you leave and 10 days are not that much.

Shouldn't be an issue. Just pick up where you left off when you get back.

Thank you kind folks!

Though I've ran reef tanks in the past, the Aquaforest system is brand new to me... am definitly looking forward to having a simple easy solution that I can just follow, allowing me to enjoy my tank rather than work on my tank! :)

Which one would I get to be the same as like the 200 gallon salt buckets by red sea?

22kg make 615 liters ( 162 US gal.) at salinity 33ppt. Or 1.0249sg

It depends on what specific gravity your aiming for.
