What are you mixing with?, when a started using a power head and adding my salt by pouring slow I do not have anything at the bottom of the bucket. I also use reef salt.

I would suggest trying the powerhead to mix you salt. One the obvious reason to stir and to also aerate the water.

I let the power head run until I pour the water in the tank. I am going to be switching to auto water changes and I will also have a power head in the saltmix to stir the water during the water change.

It is obvious but please remember to add salt to the water not water to the salt of course not at ones. Add salt gradually.

I guess I didnt make myself clear... Lets start at the beginning of me making new saltwater
1. Take a 5g bucket, fill it with RODI water to a 15 liter marked out on the bucket.
2. Add a powerhead and heater to the bucket and let it run for at least a day
3. Take the temp of the water to see if it is at least 75 degrees to 80 degrees
4. Add Aquaforest Probiotic Reef Salt (one and a half scoops)
5. Mix it by hand just to ensure the salt doesnt clump
6. Let the powerhead mix overnight
7. Change water less than 24 hours of mixing in the salt.

The deposits arent salt clumps though they are something else. I was just wondering for those using the Probiotic Salt.

Most likely binders used to hold everything together with the salt. Very surprising, AF usually mixes clear and fast.

I may be wrong but I think I read on this thread that Probio reef salt should be used within the hr once it mixes. It may be something that's happening if you're letting it mix overnight. Just my 2 cents

What happens to the water after 24 do the probiotics just break down so it just becomes regular salt or does it become useless?

Probiotics are bacteria so they dont break down but the vitamin and amino acids do. So, amino acid and vitamins started degrading overtime.

I have been growing sps for a while now and I believe you can achieve great reef like that with pretty much with any salt as long that you know what you are doing. good maintenance and low nutrient...and stable parameters.
why some of the photos that you share looks so great and the photo that other aquaforest users posted of their tank dont look great like that.
Two of my friends tried out full line of aquaforest for 1 years and they all said "what a waste of money".
