I will update the new items thread when the test kits are in stock :)

Nice. As we discussed at Reef A Paloooza, it will be nice to get our hands on the test kits.

@Perry, I talked to someone on the phone on Saturday and they the me to send them an email at af. I did so with the batch number and explaining the situation again. I have not heard back at all from you guys.

I use the AF alk, calcium and Mg to keep my basic levels, i like how clean and free of crud they are when dissolved compared to bulk additives i've used and they're just as cheap so it's a no brainer for me. I use KCL for potassium but i'm going to start using the AF potassium supplement when i get some.

Nice, i might give it a ago too if they come out better then bulk additives.

"An agent to maintain constant carbonate hardness in coral reef aquaria. Dissolve 80 g of the product in 1000 ml of deionized water. To maintain ion equilibrium, use Calcium, Magnesium and Reef Mineral Salt Aquaforest products as well. 10g KH Buffer increases by about 3,3 dKH (Alk. 1,18meg/l) in 100L. 100ml KH Buffer solution increases by about 1,60 dKH in 100L of water. The recommended KH level in coral reef aquaria is 6.5- 8.0 dKH. Contains NaHCO3. US: Dissolve 1.28 cups of the product in 1 US gal. of deionized water. "

Aquaforest or someone who uses these, So after you make the 1000ml mix. The quote says "10g KH", what is 10g? 10grams? This the same potency as the common diy 2part by randy?

Yes - 10g is 10grams.
Buy after mixed 1000ml with 80grams KH Buffer - 100ml KH Buffer solution increases by about 1,60 dKH in 100L of water.

Should this not be:

100ml of KH buffer solution will increase 2.64 dkh in 100L of water?

That is indeed what the package is saying but I thought the raise in dkh would be in line with the quantity of gram of kh buffer you add.
The solution is 80gr in 1000ml
This makes 8gr in 100ml.
If 10gr creates a raise of 3.3dkh in 100L, than 8gr would be 2.64 dkh in 100L.

I have a consumption of 0.8dkh in a 650L tank. How much should I theoretically dose?
I just bought kh buffer for my tank and counted on 196ml of the solution.

Use the 8 gm in 100ml calculation it works or me.

I figure your consumption is about 15.6G per day to maintain levels

This is using your 196ml figures.

This is not correct.

Correct calculations coming your way.
