So I used all of the RO resin up and changed it out today. When I first used the rodi machine with the first resin, I had a reading of 0ppm consistantly. Now its fluctuating the reading even with a new resin... is there something with the TDs or do I need to change out the other filters?

Have you try different buckets to put water in to test? Could be what your water is in and not the water. I've had that happen a few times.

Im new to the hobby myself and found that my buckets were doing something to the water, causing a high TDS reading. When I sampled straight from the RO/DI unit the meter read 0, but once in the bucket it ranged from 2-77. I rinsed the buckets really well and wiped them down with a cloth and that helped. I also keep he buckets covered with a lid while making the water- not sure how many airborne particles can mess up the water but figured better safe than sorry.

Ah I see! Well im running the rodi straight from the machine to the tank... and the extra bin I use for my reserve is covered aswell only containing rodi water. The problem is I get a high TDS reading from machine straight to tank

sorry i just saw that you posted it was inline. so never mind about calibrating it.

what rodi unit do you have and what filters and carrridges are installed?

have you verified the filters and cartridges are in correct order? what is your rejection rate? when did you last replace everything?

Yes they are in order :) and i have no idea on rejection rate :( and i only replaced the RO and that would be yesterday!

I generally change all of the cartridges when I do maintenance on mine. Get a handheld TDS meter to check your product water.
