TDs checker not working?

I'm assuming you changed the DI resin not the RO membrane. Did you run 5-10 gallon through it first to remove all the super fine particles out before you tested?

unfortunately, many people believe all rodi units are the same. they’re not. there are key points where we need to measure the tds of your water - into the rodi, after the membrane and product. units with two di cartridges will also need to measure after the roughing stage then product.

until you can measure your tds at these points, it’s going to be hard to troubleshoot what’s going on. do you have a switch in your tds meter?

burning through di can be result of inferior quality membrane, filters and di cartridges. what comes with these units are not great quality. another reason could be high levels of co2 if you’re in a well. one thing is you previously mentioned is the rodi water goes straight into tank from the unit. this is also not ideal as all the tds creep that remains in your membrane passes through your di and straight into your tank. the best setup is to have a flush system right after the membrane to flush out the tds creep before capturing your product water. however, this is a modification you would have to make on your own.

for now i would recommend spectrapure membrane, their .5 micron sediment and carbon filters and their enduro di cartridge.

i thought had it hooked up and running for a while.

yes when you replace the membrane it’s best to remove the di and make 2-5 gallons of water. then replace the di and you’ll be good.
