what is the green tentacled thing on top of the zoanthids and to the right of featherduster worm? sorry its a crappy cell phone pic.

is it a tiny bubble tip anemone? maybe a cup coral? it hasn't moved, but it has grown.

On a good note, if you only have one getting rid of it should be easy aside from the zoas it's decided to call neighbors. Don't know if injecting it with lemon juice or hot water will upset your polyps next to it. And if you take it out and scrape it off you chance upsetting the zoas and ifntheyre palytoxin holding zoas you don't want to do that...

hmm. i'll have to check on that when i get home.

i did have a gorgeous plate in that tank that i lost to a shrimp in my ato sensor during an extended vacation, it was a gorgeous green with white tips, but that partiuclar piece of rock i added after the disaster. it also seems to be stuck there so i kind of ruled plate out.

the color and fact it appear stuck has me thinking majano now, but i might actually see some skeleton under there. i'll poke it when i get home and see what happens.

Definitely plate/fungia coral. Majano would have evidence of at least a short stem &/or neon green when illuminated under actinic as well ...
