no worries, good sir.

i couldn't make up my mind about it, which was why i posted it. not sure i'll even believe it's a plate until it detaches.

did learn that fungia species anthocauli do attach for a time in this process too, so that is cool.
 
I have a hitch hiker funghia plate that came in on a friends coral smaller than what yours did. It’s been in my system now for over 4 years and is about 4” across. Originally it was attached to a rock on a stem but when it got to about 1.5” across, it detached and has since been lose.
