I haven't attempted it yet. I have been preparing so that I limit any chance of error rip cleaning the tank. I probably don't have to go that far, but as long as I am removing everything I may as well. I am making sure that I have enough water mixed, getting the temps on the other containers (I have new Finnex titanium heaters for back-up and the controllers are not very darn accurate!). I have been rinsing the new sand as suggested by (and thanks for all of the information Brandon!) @brandon429. The first couple of bags were surprisingly clean and the last two had a lot of organics, so I gave them a couple of extra rinses. It will most likely happen tomorrow, it's quite a job and I want to have plenty of time just in case.

You know, most threads are like "how do I lower my nitrates" or "what is this spot on my fish". This is the first mystery / science fiction like, drama thread I have seen. We need more of these.

If there were more posts like this, a lot of people would quit the hobby and we wouldn't have as many threads! I don't ask for much help on here, the search usually answers most questions.

I hope someone has a bizarre mutant monster issue next week. Video of a final battle would be nice. Hopefully it will slosh onto the floor and disappear into an airduct so we can have a sequel.
