That Random Nano!

Here it is wet! Just waiting for the water to clear over night then I’ll deal with the starting rock scape.

Here it is top down! (Sorry for the blue photo however it’s still early morning so the lights are just ramping up).
Everything has been moved over to this tank now so just to clean up the max nano and then wait for everything to appear.

I have counted a total of 5 fish and the ones I found in the RS Max nano were;
- Discordipinna griessingeri
- Gobiodon acicularis
- Stonogobiops yasha
- Trimma Tevegae
- Macropharyngodon bipartitus

So, plans in terms of fish are in the making (I think this time instead of going in blind I’ll have a plan of what main fish I want). So far the ones I’ve in the thoughts of trying to hunt down got are;
- Trio of Pseudocheilinops ataenia (Grouping/“Shoaling” Fish)
- Centropyge multicolor (Main Show Piece Fish)

Any other ideas are welcome :)

When I clean up the wires and all that I’ll get a front photo however, the wires are covering the front left of the tank and are hard to miss.

First fish photo in this new tank! Unfortunately it will be rather blue for a while - whites don’t ramp up until later in the day but also I will be trying to get coral adjusted and colour up better.
Macropharyngodon bipartitus female :)

Congrats!!!! :D
Thankyou!!

Here’s a before and after of the tank.
Before (The tank had 9 fish and a few coral - This FTS is when I was going into the SPS side);

After (This is right now as I’m tearing down and getting ready to move the Max Nano to clean it up and eventually sell on);

Well… the Max Nano may not go into being sold. One thought that has occurred were Sea Horses and the tank being almost perfect to house a couple in. We may end up with 3 tanks (Depending on the Electricity Bill).

Seahorses? Wow

Seahorses? Wow
I was thinking about it originally before going into gobies but thought to skip it until I got a bit more knowledge. Now the plan is to see what the Bill is at and if we can go a bit higher (Honestly, we’ll probably only run the tank with the skimmer and the pump as most seahorses are cold water animals).

And here we have the first casualty unfortunately - This is expected though, I mean it’s a new tank so some shock is expected.

And here’s a clam update!! He’s quite happily open and has recovered from a bit of a nutrient deficiency. Zooxanthellae has regrown in the mantle. As seen from the blue edge ()

The stocking plan as of now:
1 Angel (Multibar, Venustus or Mulricolor)
2 Pink Streaks
2 Wetmorella (Tanakai is wanted the most)

I think my LFS may have a couple pink streaks in now so I’ll have to pop down for a bit (Plus, it’s always good to see friends).

I’m back from the LFS with a few members for the reef :)
You know I couldn’t push the offer away and I did say to myself that I’d only do a pair due to the difficulty there may be finding a trio.

So this is where you're posting updates on the new tank. Now it's on my watch list :)
Yeah it is :)
I’m almost certain there will be a few photos of the pink streak trio on here and the wrasse thread.

Since I've got you both here, what's your opinions on seagrass wrasse (Novaculoides macrolepidotus) and compatibility with my big ole dusky? When we move and the big tank gets set back up the only wrasse coming with that I currently have is the dusky & that green is very attractive to me lol

They may work however I believe the macrolepidotus will potentially start moving smaller rocks as they age (Although I doubt they’re as destructive as a Dragon Wrasse).

Here we have a blue and white yasha to fill in the time it takes for me to get a photo of the Pseudocheilinops ataenia trio together now that they do group together.
