Hey Dave3112, which position of the CARs do your polyps prefer?

I lowered the two because it seemed as if they weren't liking the intense lighting.

They preferred the halides and more flow. They did well under the T5 too but weren't as bright and didn't grow as fast. I have not tried LED because I'm still not sold on them being a light source that being the colors I like.

Since CAR and "Bowser" are the same zoa I would say that you have a CAR/Bowser....

I did! Those are beautiful! I am no expert on the matter but id say you've got some good looking CARs. I can't take a single picture of Bowser without the colors jumping out of the screen. That and the very distinctive rings. The strain 1 has no halo around the yellow/orange rings as my strain 2 does. It's nearly been a month since both the bowser and CAR have been in my tank. I have today off so I just might take a few shots to show the differences once again.

Updated picture... I experimented with placing him high light and then low light... he DEFINITELY does better on high light. Next ill try high flow...

Lol, that's one expensive floater. That's a great pic of the bowser! Reminds me of a poinsettia.
