Making that saltwater!

Sweet tank man and what a cool room! Give us a shot of that whole room!

I recently saw Innovative Marine's announcement of their three feeding tools. In particular, I really want the Defroster and the Grazer. My only issue is that I have an inch thick acrylic tank... and those magnets definitely can't handle it. I'll figure something out...

I swear I'll do it as soon as I complete my water change tomorrow. I don't want my rubber can in the picture!

At Disney [emoji29]

I'll be back tomorrow! We'll see how the tank is all doing and then I'll take pics. [emoji15]

Argh, I went away to Disney (I don't like Disney World), and come back to the tank being fine minus a random RTN of one of three frags of my Only Pink Smoothie frag. Frick!

Here are some pics of Disney tanks:

I got to test the tank today with some pic goodness:

I can't seem to get away from the following parameters:

Alkalinity: 9.2 dKh
Calcium: 460 ppm
Magnesium: 1460 ppm

I haven't dosed Alk or Cal in about two plus months. I do have to dose Mag about once a month or so.

Here's my poor frag when I got back...

I am hoping it bounces back, despite still not knowing what caused the RTN. Since the RTN has stopped, maybe the frag will come back. [emoji29]

Took a pic of the tank room as requested. I forgot to move the video camera stand, I just now got it out of the closet, plus the video camera, and we'll see what I can shoot with it.

Okay I am back after what seems like the craziest and busiest month plus I've had in a while!

Some changes to the tank:

- The substrate has been removed and replaced with an acrylic/resin/gravel faux bottom. I now do not need to gravel vac which was a major problem as I kept hitting the corals, breaking them.

- I now have 3 X C+, 3 X B+, and 2 X Actinics.. All ATI bulbs. I wanted a little more blue/purple in the tank, so I replaced the ABS bulbs with the C+'s.

- The filter socks have been removed! They kept overflowing too fast for me to replace them, spilling junk into the sump. The whole point for this was to keep the sump tidy. Instead I'll just siphon out the sump periodically.

- The rock work has been changed. With the faux bottom, I glued frags to it. I really wanted a bed of Digis with some higher up on rocks. It looks ugly now (The faux bottom hasn't cycled, plus the frags were recently fastened) but this is a long term decision that should prove fruitful in the future.

The corals overall are still pretty upset with all the changes, but should get back into the happy zone soon. Here's hoping anyway. The fish are doing well!

Here are some terrible cell pics with no editing:

Nice update Christian. I'm removing the substrate as well. Still one of the cleanest systems that I know if. Great work bud.

Looking good man! The faux substrate is a pretty cool idea for those who don't like the look of bare bottom tanks. Did you make this or was it prefab? Also that is an awesome fish room, nice and tidy. What it the plant under the light?

Thanks everyone! I made the faux bottom myself, and the plant is a cactus assortment from Home Depot that my son loved.
