Most of the development and testing was done in my City, I grew up as it developed and the engines were tested in Vulcan bombers, our house was about 2 miles from the end of the runway as the crow flies, the house shook, not just the windows lol, it was a very sad day when it was grounded.

When it was flying Heathrow to New York it wasn't allowed to go supersonic over land, I am west coast, the boom was stunning and made me smile every time I heard it.
My parents went on it when it was doing pleasure flights.
