I'm so happy Andrew likes fishing, I have many thousands of lures and many many rods and reels because my family had a charter fishing business and since I will never be able to do it again I would love to help Andrew out with what ever he needs as I have tons of stuff.
This is me(been a few years) with on of the largest sailfish caught out of West Palm Fl.
We always released sails but this poor guy was old and the 3.5 hour fight did him in.

You absolutely have to tell him the stories you have! If you can handle having us hang out for a while, I'll bring lunch and we can talk tank and fishing! You know he is crazy about you!

I can see from the angle of the photo and where they are in the tank that they might have liked you just a little bit ;)

I'm going to try something interesting in the Miracle. KP has never tried a pistol/Pederson together with a curlique. They have done a snapping shrimp/Pederson together with no issues. They did tell me the pistol will be deep in the nem and the Pederson will basically glide along the outside of it.

sunup off a point, topwater black popper w white nailpolish stripes ,water will explode , pic later ,ole faithful!!!

Heads Up, this is a long post about family fishing and lots of pics.

Day, Night, Boat, Kayak, Beach, lures, bait .......

@Katrina71, learn to tie knots and just keep putting the line in the water. I've have high end custom rod, reels and lures as well as and ugly stick and basic lures, they all catch.

A cheap jig head with a plastic bass assassin seems to out-fish everything in my lure bag.

Local bait and tackle shops can be a reliable source of information. Don't chase internet reports. They are good for identifying trends, but fish are gone by the time you get there.

Many anglers keep a log. They note tides, moon, weather, time of day etc. Very important it to "match the hatch" . Mimic the bait in the water on which the fish are feeding. There will be patterns, so part of the fun is understanding these cycles. Keeping a log is a great way for a youngster to learn about fish habits and habitants.

Rinse the rod and reel off after every use, and learn how to open it up and clean it every few months.

The kid picked the spot (based on his success at the above dock), set the strategy on his own and won a local fishing derby.

Something is bothering me. It seems a huge number of businesses are getting involved in Black Lives Matter. Supporting Black owned businesses. It's really just a warm fuzzy mockery of the whole issue. It is, by the very definition, racism. Don't all lives matter? Don't all small business owners matter? Equal is equal. Can you imagine if Amazon had White Lives Matter heading on the screen? Etsy had a filter to shop White owned shops? The internet is the one place it really didn't matter. Until Now. I just want true equality. True peace.

I guess I need to unplug and move back to a small fishing community where people just rely on one another and take care of each other.
we may all end up at Joe’s with the emus
