Flying fish since it is hurricane season! Besides what other fish could a pilot own?

Pirate’s Reef still has corals alive after two weeks without power or light. The Xenia is about gone and the few SPS. I wish I would have had the air pumps in my fish only tank.

Nope. Waiting on some crazy fancy clowns to get in. Hoping the store has a lil goby or jaw fish first. Here’s my stocking plans as of now. Keep in mind I’m just going to have some of these fish for a year or so to grow out for my lfs and then will trade in
Yellow tang, potters angel, clown pair, maybe some chromis maybe Midas blenny and Maybe a goby or jawfish and maybe a wrase. Let me know what u think!
ps I want a tarpon but I have enough in my backyard

Get a wrasse, I love them. I will have a wrasse only tank someday with dozens of them. Halicheroes provide so much utility that's unbeatable by most other fish. Halicheroes and bristletooth tangs will be the first two fish I add to any new system I setup.

Will do! what do u think about my stocking plans? I know it may seem like a lot but i think if I do it slowly I will be good. I plan to keep the system running slightly “high” nutrients and see how that goes. I plan on having lots of corals and I will have a fuge soon

Interesting point. I think anyone with solar should have a form of battery arrays in their garage if they can get net positive on generation. It really is the smart thing to do. Store it for use after hours when you are not generating instead of selling it back to the grid.

Having said that and owning solar I do not. I've been waiting for other options besides Tesla which are now starting to come online more affordable. Once that is in then add some more panels, review power sappers in the house, and be a bit more happy. Currently I can see during peak generation that we are not using all that we gen yet during the evening we consume more

Solar is nice - but home users need better or higher efficient panels and storage to make it a win for us. Getting there though.

I think when they first hit the market they ran close to 15k. They had a lot of issues at start which Tesla later went back and upgraded all first time buyers. It was a pretty sweet deal actually because they also got a increase in storage capacity. But yes, they are pricy.

Here is the deal because the media loves electric cars. You charge at home or work or school or somewhere. Power is still being mostly generated by not so green processes. Especially most of us average Joe home owners. And even if we have solar, and I do for example, I do not produce enough positive energy to charge my electric vehicle....

Wheel goes around and around and around. It isn't paradise but what we have I guess.
