SWEET! Thanks for sharing! Any Idea on a price point on these? I may have to try one out. I absolutely love my ASM G3.

I have not been told anything but If I had to guess I would guess around mid 3's maybe. IDK for sure and that is only a guess based on competition and what it has .

WEll I should have this skimmer in another week or two. I believe they are going to stick with the sedra pumps. I guess I ll find out.. lol.

More to come all..

My first couple thoughts of the skimmer.... THe body is really similar to the jns sk2 that I am running now. Which is great. I really really like my sk2. The packaging was really nice no worries of getting anything damaged.

The skimmer comes with the pump still in the box. Not a big deal it gives you a feel of how to open the skimmer up and how its assembled. I would say once you get it unwrapped it took me about 10 minutes to get it apart and install the pump. THe little screws that hold the pump down were a little trickey to get lined up at first (took an extra 5 seconds of looking at it) But everything went together and fit just Like I would expect from ASM. I must also mention I have not read the instructions yet either... sorry but Ill get back to it.

More to come..

Mojo~

Are ASM and Bubble Magus one in the same? The lid looks identical to my BM, and the poor english on the instruction page is almost identical.

it is similar to the hero. But the Hero will not be imported. Plus these use hte traditional Sedra pumps that ASM has always used.

Hey mojo question again. I see that the gc3 is rated for 150g is that light bioload or heavy bioload? I have a heavy bioload. Is it like their old g2 which I have now. I would like to upgrade so if this is the same it wouldn't be an upgrade. Need ur expert opinion plz? Thx

I would say the 150 would be a medium to medium light @ 150g.

Its the new version of the g2. I would say its is a little more efficient than the old design.

Ill take a couple more pictures here n the next couple days. Its been chugging along.

Ok thx coz I need something more efficient than what I have now that would also fit in my sump

any update on performance and build quality impressions vs the jns sk2 skimmer? Hows the consistency of this skimmer?

the skimmer has been very consitant. It runs best about 10 inches of water. Much better than the 8 inches I had it at.

I am still a big fan of the JNS sk2. But the asm does have a smaller footprint.

well I wanted to get one of the ASM cone skimmers and did, The GC-9
