The Sedra 9000 pump that this skimmer uses

ASMG6skimmer054.jpg

ready to go in the water!!!

first impressions are the body is built really nice. The neck looks a little big for a Sedra 9000, but they have a new venturi design, not sure if this will make a
big difference, but we will see?? I love the small footprint and it is built as good as a BK and I have owned four of them.

I will get air numbers and wattage draw from the pump

Time to put it in the sump!!!

the skimmer has been on-line for two days, so far Really happy with the production, ran it in vinegar and water for six hrs.er

Here is the skimmer on a wattage meter

I see these are on premium now

I bought mine from Socaltropicalfishoutlet.com but I dont see them on there site yet.

the skimmer has been very consitant. It runs best about 10 inches of water. Much better than the 8 inches I had it at.

I am still a big fan of the JNS sk2. But the asm does have a smaller footprint.

On the limb ... Thinking of getting a new skimmer to play with . I had to raise my skimz to keep it from wet skimming . My sump level is 9 inches of water which does not vary at all .
Is there a difference between a JNS and the Aquamaxx They look the same , except for the fins on the pump . Any reason why this finds ur favor so much ?

The jns and aquamaxx cone are the same. Just relabeled.

THe have a smooth transition to the neck, no step, and pull a good amount of air.
