HI EVERYONE,

Well this has been a long time coming. I have always loved keeping a fish tank, but I've never had a salt water setup until a couple of weeks ago.
First of all I want to Thank the man that helped make this possible for me, my brother inlaw NICKS387 Thanks BRO!!!!!...... So anytime I go to Nick's place to hang out, whenever I go I always leave behind my face-print and smudges all over his beautiful display tanks starfire glass (SORRY BUD), but im sure you all understand why though. Anyways so I was in the check out line at petco, with all 2gallons of nano tank setup to put a beta fish in, when a lady behind my in line commented about the setup I was about to purchase. So we got to talking and I told her about how I also planned to try to get a saltwater system setup up soon, and Guess what she had a hole setup she had stored and was ready to part with. So Here is what I have now and a BIG GIANT Thanks to Nick for getting me setup and running.
Thank you all for Looking, Happy Reefing

I Love these two together but unfortunately the Sail Fin Tang didn't make it, may he rest in piece

I think that the Sail Fin and the Yellow Tang didn't get along like I thought they were. Very bitter sweet, But nature took its course and chose the Yellow tang!!!:squigglemouth: I'm ok with it but I wish the Sail Fin made it too.

My Tank is going through an algae phase, But I'm not going to let it bother me, as I patient in letting it take its natural course. I'm very fortunate to have acquired a lot of coral already!!!!!

This is the most current photo I have of the tank just to catch all of you up really quick!!!
But I'm working on the best part of all I'm photo documenting all of my coral and will be posting grow progress shots in the future!!!!! I can't wait because for me the biggest gratification of reefing for me is caring for and growing my coral in as table environment with minimal chem fluctuations. I know maybe I'm bond for a epic fail but I believe I'll track the chemistry enough to prevent catastrophe....... HOPEFULLY:nerd:

I really wish the photo quality was better at the moment, but I'll soon upgrade to a better camera!!!!! BLACK FRIDAY!!!! Hopefully

The next project that I'm working on at the moment is to set up the Two Phosban Reactors that I recently purchased from the gift certificate I won from the October 2012 New Member Drive on R2R Thanks again. One will be setup for GFO the other for Carbon

Interestingly enough through my tank cycle I've not seen nitrites or nitrates!!! I had a ammonia reading of .50 for about a week and then it decreased to zero. Though my tank did we phosphate which I'm in the process of correcting.

Another todo for me is that I want to change three bulbs in my fixture. I have three old bulbs, one current 10k ewe IMO and two current blue. I'll be changing them over to a ATI Aquablue special, and two ATI blue +'s that will make a better bulb combo more suitable light for my SPS and hopefully take care of the algae phase a little that I believe the old bulbs are partly responsible for.
