This is the time of year when people start slowing down in the aquarium hobby and focus more on outdoor type activities.

What about you? Do you find yourself doing more seasonal type stuff outside right now?

Right now I'm doing a basement remodel. Tank is in wall down there, so I really want to get everything else done so I can actually sit down there and enjoy it. Screw the sun, I want to hide out in my mancave!

Personally I think if your really dedicated and interested in the hobby it is a year round thing.... atleast to me. When I'm not messin with my tank year round I enjoy spending time with my wife and our 15 month old son :)

Got an early start on the gardening this year and do that until it gets too hot and the mosquitos get too bloodthirsty. Also getting a little too into car washing and waxing according to the wife. No Pinnacle Souveran wax this year :(

Will probably do some fossil hunting soon too, since where I'm sitting used to be a coral reef....

Opposite for me, its already 100 here and it's too hot to go out there.

I have a small jungle in my backyard and I'm still working on my tank projects. I guess I might need to mow the backyard soon before I lose my kids back there.

I let my tank take a bit of a back seat last year. The results have proven that I need to maintain all efforts year round and simply adjust my schedule of maintenance based on the season. I love to water ski and I'm out typically a couple nights during the week at very early every Saturday and Sunday morning getting some quality sets in on the ski before the wally's mess up the pristine, glass like waters!

Kind of a catch 22 to for --- slowly starting to get back in order (( had my 6th back surgery in January )) so I am now able to get the tanks back in shape, and be able to do all the outdoor things that I want to do. I am sure that I will have time for both. Though the tanks will be on "hold" until after I get back from a 2 week trip to London for the Olympics.

My tank is a 365 day a year job. But I treat it like a hobby. I have seen what can happen to people's tanks if left on the way side. Not gonna happen here!

I'm up at 5:00am every morning. I get every thing done outside by nine or ten then back in the house the rest of the day.

I find it a good time when the weather is nice to go out and hit the fine LFS we have in town to see what I can add to my tank. Don't like to go out in the dead of winter and have to figure out how to keep new purchases warm on the way home.

First that picture reminds me of how my legs are looking after sitting outside most of the day Saturday, opps... As for the tank just in the starting process of my tank so it will be slow going but definitly focusing on it.

i do some gardening and alot of fishing this time of year but the tank gets the rest of my attention
