The REEF TANK slow down!

Time for my motorcycle! I went for a ride today instead of emptying my skimmer cup. Maybe tomorrow :)

Well my fiancee' and I coach a high school varsity fastpitch team, so that takes a good bit of my time. I have classes on Tues/Thurs 7-7, practice on Mon/Wed normally early in the morning. After that I try to get my land prepped for hunting season, look for stand sites, try to take care of coyotes. I also have 5 dogs, 5 horses that I tend to, and that is about it haha...

I always find time for my fish tank though. Every morning I check to make sure everything is looking good, polyps extended, and topoff/2 part supplement added. I may feed the fish in this time (just 2 clowns) or I may wait until later in the afternoon. Then I normally just stare at it as much as I can before bed. Busy but good life, although I haven't started writing 10 page papers yet. Those will be the things that break the camel's back and I will need to enduldge in a couple of adult drinks.

I typically slow down this time of year, but due to an injury at work last year I dont think I will be working or doing much outside this year :(

my tanks should love me though

Slow down, what its that? No seriously though, I work a lot and between work, the wife, kids, church on Sundays and chores I am not left with much time for the tank so I generally just look at it a few minutes every evening and do very light maintenance to it on the weekend and water changes once or twice a month. I do take vacation time soon but that will be to spend some much needed quality family time. Thank God for my 2 part doser and for my new ato

I do spend more time on the trails on the weekends this time of year, but actually since starting my tank this past year I noticed my bike actually sees a lot less of me than it use too. Guess Ill blame my heart attack at 40 on the fish tank....(I'm 23).

Thats not horrible..... I know a guy that for atleast 3 years has set up a tank every year around september, then sells everything off around march buys a new bike, then sells it and sets back up in sept...... his bikes and his tanks are always B.A., but he can never keep the 2 together lol

I have a lake cabin in northern MN so we are there almost every weekend in the summer. The tank does not get neglected during the week though. I am still testing, dosing, water chnging, etc as it is a dedicated hobby.

This is the time of year when the big tank warms up, I can go critter hunting and see which frags I can get to grow in the wild. But I still come home first to the little tank.

Naa I do the same amount winter or summer... What gets cut down in the summer is video games for me.. I play allot less video games in the summer.

It's really not about the time of year for me at all. I may start to get a little burn out and take a step back at some point. Not for long though. :)

we farm several acres which takes up almost all of my time about Feb I start tilling & starting some things in the greenhouse then it's getting seeds and plants in ground then tilling tilling tilling to keep weeds down till plants get big enough to shade out weeds then it's spraying, putting out fertilizer now it's picking some stuff & putting them up or selling some things but I still find time to do the basics on my tank because if there is 1 thing my tank has taught me is miss 1 single day of attention & something will go wrong
