I have/had 3 triggers in my 180 gal with tons of soft corals. I just got rid of the Niger for no particular reason other than it was time for a change. I still have a picasso and clown tirgger. The clown trigger did tear up a small field of fire clove polyps and munched a green cabbage leather down to a nub when I first put him in. He hasn't touched anything since then though. The picasso will pick corals up and move them around the tank or knock them over looking to see what is underneath. Other than that, they are model citizens. No cleanup crew though. I live near the beach and once a year I'll collect about 100 hermits and 50 snails or so and put them. They might last a week before they are all eaten.
The prettier they are the bit(#!er they are.My favorite trigger is my old Queen trigger male we ordered for a customer that then decided they didn’t want it. I took it home and placed in my larger angel and trigger tank. He was about 6 inches when added. Got to 14 before I had to place in tank alone. Got really aggressive.

Yes just get the smallest one and let him grow up with the others, my undulated is probably the most mellow as of now.
My all time favorite.
Just realize the queen grows more than 24'. Many people said undulated are the most agressive, even beyond the queen. should i keep him solo in a 125 or risk it ?

I would keep the Queen in its own tank. The undulated is a kitten compared to a Queen trigger. Get him tiny and let him grow up with the other fish. He will claim a certain rocky zone that's his home and the others will pick up on it quick. Even if they get to close he will just do the aggressive posturing and the fish get the message.
When the Queen gets big enough and enters its phyco stage and will kill all the others even if he grew up with them.
I've had clowns on 2 occasions. Got both about an inch long. Both tolerated other creatures to a point. All crabs and such disappear. Both eventually out grew my place and moved on. Still my favorite fish. Period. My tanks are so full of inverts I can't have one but the next one will have one hopefully.
