The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

I don’t know could be stunned or could be permanent. Fish can survive bad injuries though. My ruby longfin broke its spine early on and somehow survived and does great.

My LFS had a lubbocks wrasse come in missing the entire eyeball. Like you could see the white bit of skeleton. He stayed in the store for 2 weeks before i believe someone adopted the poor guy. Seemed healthy, eating, peaking, chasing away other fish

Also I just realized I've been saying "him" but I have no idea if this is still a female or it is a male. Does anyone know if I got lucky and sent a female?

It’s a male. And even if it was a “she”, it would eventually become a “he” haha!

Yeah, I was thinking lifespan wise if I got sent a female odds are it would be on the younger side since it hasn't transitioned yet so I'd have more time with it in the tank LOL

Hopefully he gets to a more terminal coloring soon!

Well I pulled the trigger on a Halichoeres biocellatus, Looking really nice at LFS, Adapting well out with no issues at all.
Which LFS do you go to?

I only ever went to Surprise Kona. I'll have to check out Phoenix one of these days.
Actually Surprise is Bigger, Their Man Store is in Gilbert. Manager at PHX is who I have been work with there Surprise is closer for me I will go there fro m time to time as well

Well So e how my Wrasses are using mind control or AI. they have me looking at upgrading then to 200 Gallon Peninsula tank..... Right now it's in the preliminary phase. I want more wrasses an I feel current tank is bust at sides because of to many wrasses, Not if that ever a true statement.

How is that radiant wrasse? I want to add one, but i know Halichoeres can be a bit pushy. I already have an adorned.
I’d say they are one of the more peaceful and would do well with the other Halichoeres

If they want that then they first need to give me lottery numbers to get them a bigger place. So I could get something like that, Right now it all Negotiations..... Even the 200P will be a challenge for my small townhome.......
