Male, female, and juv earmuff?

3rd is Coris venusta. Hope you're not adding the pink face to a tank with other wrasses, beautiful, but big time jerks.

He's going in with a banana 2" larger and a red coris who is also a jerk. If it doesn't work I can rehome. I read that they're pretty aggressive. Was hoping the crowding and larger wrasses already established would help my odds!

If not I can always sell the lil guy! My banana is a big bully, I would be surprised if he can get over on him. The red coris doesn't take any crap either surprisingly

They sound like they are all the same speed, though if there is a problem between him and the banana wrasse, I would get rid of the banana wrasse. There are plenty of yellow fish, but few fish can compare to a terminal male quinquevittatum.

Yeah, I really love this banana though very striking specimen. Much prettier than my last. I do agree that the pinkface is superior however

I tried adding a second male cf. lanceolatus and the existing one did not tolerate the new one at all.

The one in the tank now is a female I believe so do you think two female and one male will be ok ?
Female Cirrhilabrus have a tendency to transition to male in aquaria and will either usurp the male or be chased by him. I would recommend against a second one. It is likely you have a male already, as female pintails don't have the "pintail" until they begin their transition.

Awesome shot! I wish I could get a pic of mine when he starts darting from side to side in all his splendor! I'm camera-inept.
It's very hard. Out of every 20 tries , you might catch him just right if you are lucky. Very hard fish to catch on camera.
