Hunter or eatbreakfast, any comments on their (brunneus) tempremate?

Zoa collector has a pair and some weird hybrid with blue under bellys , anyone see them before?
Yeah, this has been a topic of debate. Right now, on one really knows and it's all speculation. At this point, they will either be eventually recognized as a new, separate species, or they will end up being a regional variant of tonozukai.

The only time I've seen their temperament, was when Lemon tried to introduce one alongside an established cf. lunatus. It was all out war though the box; no way those two could go together.
With a johnsoni in my tank, I won't consider it. But if you do not have any other members of the complex present, it should be fine.

So far it's not doing good. Believe it or not the flame wrasse is harassing it. I do have a Johnson in their but he can care less so far. I'll keep you guys posted if he makes it I'll try to get some pics, it is a beauty

So considering having two pintails and that male looks very terminal I should pass?

It would certainly be a gamble; anyone's guess really.

Question. Why is my pencil wrasse out and about in the morning but hides when the lights come on?

Pseudojuloides hide in the sand when startled, lights coming on can have this affect, as can activity around the tank until it gets used to the new surroundings.

It also needs to readjust it's circadian rhythms, as it came from halfway across the world.

Makes sense, thanks. I was under the impression that wrasses high when lights are off and come out when lights are on, so the pseudojuloides seemed to be backwards! Its a gorgeous fish and eating well- ill update when I get better photos.

It will eventually correct its internal clock; it just needs time to settle in.

Two males are a gamble, I've had to separate them before although sometimes they get along. If one is established its far more likely they'll fight but if add them together it's 50/50. Not worth risking it in my opinion. One of my favorite fairies for sure :)
