Good to know; I was surprised to see him doing it tonight (after just arriving this morning). It certainly wasn't due to the Flame or Lineatus!

What is your current wrasse list? I know of a few you have...

C. Rhomboidalis
C. Earlei
C. Johnsoni
P. mccoskeri x2
P. attenuatus
M. Kuiteri

P. octotaenia and H. Iridis coming soon

P. bellae is at the top of my list

Your turn, Hunter you can't play cause you make us jealous, haha

I can see why he would be king with that mix. Mine may have a little competition with my terminal male C. bathyphilus and C. laboutei. I am nearing my stocking limit for my 125. P. bellae and C. johnsoni are both on my list, but I may only be able to do one or the other.

Edit: Full list - in order of when I got them:

C. lubbocki
C. bathyphilus
C. laboutei
P. attenuatus
C. earlie
C. lineatus
C. jordani

C. solarensis
C. cyanopleua

H. melarunus
H. iridis

with a M. geoffroyi and C. jordani on the way.

Want to snag an Anampses or two as well. And a pintail species as well.

That's a nice group you have. I want a bathyphilus really bad but Im waiting till I have enough others so the aggression is spread a bit more. I had a Labouti and he became a terror.

How do you like your radiant? I'd like to have some Tamarins eventually too, most of them get pretty big though.

Gorgeous fish, Marshall. :)
Please excuse my shoddy memory, but was that the one from the nicewrasse contest?

Unfortunately no; I had to pay for mine :( But it did come from NiceWrasse :) But thank you either way!

My bathyphilus is a baby. He is the largest in the tank, but never shows any aggression at all. He flashes the others all the time, but never chases. My laboutei is almost full size (or maybe is?), but is actually pretty mellow...so far. I know how aggressive they can be once mature, so hoping I lucked out.

I can tell you my attenuatus is quite the bold little fish! Easily the smallest wrasse in the tank, yet most aggressive at feeding time! I think Hunter's is the same in that respect.

Any fish I have to pay more than $50 for, I think I'll be getting from him.

About the Labouts...are they mean to all fish or just other wrasses?

As far as I know, just other Fairy/Flasher wrasses. But as mentioned, mine is rather mellow as of today. My Flame Angel is far more aggressive than him.

Whew! That's good! I really want to save up for one and it'll likely be the only wrasse, so it should be fine. That makes me happy. n.n

Love my radiant. It was the only fish I ever got from a LFS that was open here for about a year. My wife saw it and said, "Isn't that one of those wrasse you've always wanted?" And it was. He is still pretty small but looks over every square nano meter of the tank at least 5 times a day. No real interaction with any of my other fish at all actually. Just does his thing. My melarunus was pretty agressive with my Lavender Tang and didn't care for my leopard but then again he is HUGE like 5-6 inches.

Based on my experience, I would say you are correct. Hopefully someone else will chime in if theirs went rogue on other non-wrasses!

Mine too, most anti social flasher ever.
