my newest addition changing male black Leopard..after a day in the accliamtion box I had no problems with any of the other Leopards or Tamarins, but my PBT still went after it upon release...it only lasted a day and the Leopard is still out and eating...

Marshall, good luck with the Choati. I spoke to Kevin Kohen at Macna a couple years back and he seems to think that temperature plays a big role in how they fare. All his success with them has been at lower temps (which is why Ive never attempted one). Please do keep us updated though, anything we can learn about these guys is good IMO.

Thanks Brett. I have actually never heard anything about temperature with them, so that is interesting. Just tried to find anything online regarding this, and all I found is the waters they are in are normally 76. I keep my DT at 77, on the cooler side for most reef tanks obviously. So maybe my tank is ok as far as temp goes. So far so good, though it has only been 1 week, so by no means am I deeming this a success. I will update as we go

I believe he said in the 75-77 range, my tank runs in the 79-81 range and he said he wouldn't attempt it if he were me. Honestly I bet he tells everyone that due to there delicate nature. Either way my kuiteri would beat it to death.

I may drop it down to 76 and give a little buffer for the warmer months then just to be safe. And yes, I agree that your Kuiter's would not make nice company for one!

Not too bad but bad enough to stress a new leopard into not coming out of the sand. I think since your other two leopards are established you'd be ok as long as you only had one male. Which two do you have now. I've though about trying to add another female kuiteri at the same time to see of that works.

Just Picked up this little guy yesterday from Divers Den

Got him in an acclimation box for a few days to ensure no aggression from the others but here he is

Mcosckers Wrasse about 2 inches big so far

I have a female that I have had for about 6 months and regret getting it. It is the smallest Halichoeres wrasse, and one of the smallest fish, but it packs in a lot of attitude. The aggression is much like that of a sixline, but dusky wrasses get bigger. I had aggression issues in the past with a large male marginatus, but chalked it up to it being a large male. This much smaller female is on the way to being just as bad and is soon to be removed from my tank. That being said, these are just my 2 experiences with this fish, I am sure others have had a more peaceful experience with them.

What is it being mean to ? I have a sohal tang, purple tang, blue dot grouper and a dragon faced pipefish so my tank is already kind of aggressive.
