Typically only if another fish is constantly bullying them into hiding.

Is your tank covered? This seems to imply it is not. If it's not, you're keeping any wrasse on borrowed time. It's not a matter of if they'll jump, but when.

Yay new fishes came in this morning, dripped them and now they are in the acclimation box getting to know everyone

Thanks ! I got 1 more than those two but he escaped out of the box and went into the display tank prematurely however no one is messing with him so that's a good thing, he thinks I can't see him behind the chaeto algae

Anyone care to guess what he is ?

I love my rubrimarginatus. Was worried he and my Lineatus wouldn't get along but they get along fine.

Beautiful indeed, pictures did not do him any justice either when I opened his shipping bag I was amazed. I love the fact this wrasse is underestimated as much as it is I didn't have to pay 350$ for it like I would have a lineatus, I paid 130$ for a fish I think could rival a lineatus in Beauty you would have to see one in person to really appreciate it.

Group pictures while they are together

Royal flasher and pink margin

Pink margin and his buddy the naoko these guys are so cute they sleep together ! Look like I got a sensitive naoko he gets mad when the pink margin leaves cuddling at night hah

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but from my pictures does anyone notice anything strange about the naoko ? He dosent seem to swim like the other wrasse.. Like they all swim horizontal to the sand bed but every time I see this little guy he swims verticle with his mouth facing the top of the water it's really awkward it dosent seem to have any less control than the other fish when it comes to swimming but it dosent seem right to me

So I found my wrasses. They made their way down to the sump. The solorensis is kind of beat up. Not sure if the secretive did it or if it was his trip down. They are in a box together now and seem fine.

Better to use a hard surface to cover your overflows, such as sheets of acrylic. I use black acrylic. If you use a mesh netting, a fish may jump in it, and then sink in it, preventing it from jumping out. With a hard surface, it is much easier for them to jump back off.

That's a good idea. Plus it would cut down on algae growth in the box.

That's indicative of a swim bladder issue/infection. It may clear/heal on its own, but more often it's a death sentence. Sorry.
