Get a group of males from different species. They will still flash and keep their colors.

Here is my clan of wrasses... Lots of them.

What works for me is partially because I have so many wrasses that aggression is minimized.

So I looked up the Lineatus and it's expensive. I won't do that till I know what I'm doing with them.

Would adding a Flame be ok with my Melanurus or should I just wait and add the Lineatus and Flame wrasses at once?

And I would want all males? (I'd prefer them anyway...they're prettier!)

All of my fairy wrasses are male. I think you'll find male flame wrasse and lineatus are similar in price. Paid the same for mine

Hard to tell with this pic. It looks like a juvenile Thalasomma of some kind, but could also possibly be a juvenile Halichoeres poeyi.

Yes, they can be added simultaneously.

I added a pink margin, Labouti, flame, and lineatus within days of each other and all is well thus far. Should that change I have other tanks to move fish to

With the skeletal shape of the head, I have a hard time believing it's anything except a Thalassoma species. In which case, a poor candidate for a reef tank.
