I took the risk of 2 day shipping for some palys and it got kinda cold here :/

So think the Nightmares will make it ? Would an iodine dip stress them abit or should I do it ?
Better luck hoping the colony makes it or frag it and hope for some survivors ?
IDK how hardy these guys are, if they are anything like most my other zoos/palys they should be fine :)

they look ok..i had some 2nd day usps and all of them died but the person i bought them from used the wet towel method instead of putting them in sw..

decent flow, leave them be...if healthy enough they might just make it. was the water they came in pretty cold?

i had zoas come in super cold around 50-60 degrees. i thought they were a goner and didnt open for like 2 weeks but then one day they started to open and now they are all good. just give it time. good sign though that they are even partially open.

So what about lighting? Low/medium? High?
The water wasn't too bad. Yes cold to touch, but I would guess in the 60s.

Thanks for all the suggestions I'm sure this will help me a-lot!

Updated with a poll for you guys :)

Thanks a-lot for all the advice.
I feel like such a noob..... haha

Some zoas are pretty tough, some of the zoas I get I run them trough fresh water and they always come back, they look like they will make it.

I would have to vote no.... If I were to guess I would say that they may open a little of the next week or so but will go down hill from there. Of course this depends on the temp of the water that the zoas were in.

i once got corals in a gatorade bottle 2 to a bottle without a heat pack. sadly sps didnt survive. It was awkward receiving corals in a gatorade bottle. Zoas fortunately are more hardy and will survive.

Bro I hope they make it for you! :(

Sorry off topic, but you know the small plastic bottle idea is a pretty good idea if you did it right.

Talk to Jody over at TEC. I shipped him a paly pack and the heat pack ended up getting wet and failing (completely my fault). The water temp was very low when they arrived, but he was able to nurse them back to health through several weeks of TLC. All survived!!!
