Third time better be the charm

More thinking out loud.....
Wouldnt a tbarb just pull from both the food and the flush then?
Food will be thawed and liquid when it goes so not a solid or even semi solid consistency.
Not if you use a solenoid before the t-barb that is set to open when it flushes. Just spit balling here...

I truly appreciate all the ideas and feedback and i hope it doesn't look like i am dismissing any suggestions. I by default tend to over engineer and over complicate things (aka im a girl) so i am trying to keep this as simple yet as effective and inexpensive as possible.

I meant you only need the check valve if putting a T into the tubing. no need for check valve otherwise.
When I was messing around thinking about it, I came up with another product!
I may actually market one of these.

probably another container of RODI would be better/easier to flush with instead of tank water.

I'd flush it with Kalk.

great idea! I could just hook my Parlastirrer in-front of it!
omg! I should make Jeevs! but for reefers!

This is how mine is set up but with RODI instead of tank water (lots of bacteria in tank water). Also both pumps are in the fridge due to space requirements.

I'm looking at peizo cooling blocks to circulate coolant in pipes around a food container to make a 'fridge' unnecessary. I want the whole thing to be only a little larger then the food container. I have the smallest stepper motors (28BYJ-48) I could find a doser head for
This project is probably more attainable then the ParlaLinity checker.

I was working on a similar idea for a phyto auto doser. I was going to work three Kamoer style pumps, 1 would pump phyto into the tank, one would pump tank water to clear the line, the third would add fresh saltwater to top off the phyto culture. Seems like a good way to crash a culture though...

We have so many similar ideas. I was considering doing this to my sump (years ago when I ran MH) in an effort to cool the tank without running a chiller. I switched to LEDs instead.

Ys, but the tank water would be downstream of the food and, with a check valve in place, it shouldn't affect the food?

You were my inspiration. I just wanted simpler ;)

I'd be more then happy to test it for you ;)

Only worry is tank water in a tube means bacteria setting up a biofilm inside the tubing. Might be inevitable in any case, but RODI would probably make it less of an issue with changing out tubing. If your liquid food isn't "theoretically" clean like Reef Nutrition food, say phyto culture, then probably doesn't matter anyway.

I am going to try a new thing. One day a month I do something I wouldn't normally do. I know that sounds silly but it all started when I went to Fiji, something clicked. October was Tennessee Then I took a pottery class in November. December was open. January is wolves. Feb is glass blowing.
What to do this month...
Then it found me. Gummies anyone?

I rode when I was younger loved it and miss it to this day. Mom wanted ballet and twirling. I was not having that. One of my favorite smells is a horse barn.
