This is going to be a hard identifier!

Its so wonderful how things will grow out of the rockwork months or even years down the road. I have rock that 1 1/2 years old and now its producing hot pink sponge.
you have to have on mind, that the mother nature is so beautiful and smart, no one know at what moment can be triggered and start growing (come alive) after it's been in dormant stage ;)

ball nem, I had a random burst of them in a 10 gallon, one of them tucked away from direct light got the biggest, I used to actually give it a while Mysis shrimp to eat and it would do then puff up like crazy but haven't seen any since I moved to a 30 gallon

I figured so lol! I have a 40G, that I just switch up to from a 28, think they are truly enjoying the added freedom so to speak ;)

Oh absolutely, I just switched up to a 40 G from a 28 and already I am getting massive growth in pink sponges, it seems like things are just loving the space. I am already thinking of pulling out and dusting off the pocket book and buying a big boy just to really vamp out my hobby... I have just been secluded to a small tank for so long. I have a 250 gallon, but nothing to really put in it, it would be worthless to start it up with no true life to add to it you know?

If I have the room space for 250G I'll jump on it like a mouse on cheese :p
ATM I'm only near 100g. And if the cash for equipment isn't problem, then the best advise from me is to do it. The livestock will come on the time, during which all in will be matured enough for the love to the hobby you can get really much exp. with bigger tank, and you will be in love I bet
But yes, the bigger tank need much more care and will take more of your time, depending how you manage it.
