This one's for the ladies

I have wondered about what is safe and what is not, I have 4 x very very hairy dogs and their hair gets every where and i brush them every day I some times think my fish will be coughing up a hair ball
I think if the hair is everywhere, I wouldn't use topical flea products..
Frontline (and other fipronil products) is supposed to be absorbed by oil glands and wick onto the hair with the oils. Fipronil will kill invertebrates like shrimp.
I'd talk to the vet about an oral flea prevention. My Chihuahua gets oral flea control. The cat gets a topical but it's absorbed through the skin and works differently.
Also, important not to put hands in the tank after applying flea control to your pets either.
Coworker applied frontline spray to a patient, then forgot and put his hands in his office tank. Cleaner shrimp died in less than a minute.

Only gloves. This should not violate the natural balance. I do not want to experiment.

I don't allow windex in my house, I ask that what ever is used be sprayed on the rag. No candles except the family room and my room. I use a lot of Clorox wipes to avoid sprays actually. I think it is better for our lungs too. I don't use lotions so I don't worry about what is on my hands. Just wash and rinse very well when working on my tank.
