Those who use Current USA Orbit, do you use day/night mode?

Do you use day+night mode or just fixed spectrum?

Mine runs that mode and the daylight one is kind of blue imo. It hurts my eyes a little when I look at it for long. :/

I used the day/night mode, but I adjusted it slightly. I recently upgraded lights, though, to a Hydra 26 HD.

Mine runs a day/night cycle. You can control the amount of blue white red and green color. If you think its too blue turn it down.

You meant you can adjust the spectrum? Or you mean On and Off time?

Correct. You can adjust the spectrum as well as the on off time

So let's say I'm on daylight now. If I adjust the colors, then next time the daylight cycle is back, will it be the same?

No. Do this. Click on Daylight button (the white button with the sun), L1 will display, use the RGB and W to adjust your spectrum how you like it, then press and hold the daylight key for 5 seconds. the display will show E1 and then that spectrum will be used on your daylight cycle

No I don't think the blue light made me feel uncomfortable. I did adjust the spectrum though. I was running B100,W60, R30, G30

Yes, I struggled at first a bit as well, but once I figured it out, it's actually a pretty good light and very easy to control. Current USA has in my opinion superb customer support too. They were very responsive every time I called or emailed with questions.

Probably because you use a different model? Mine is the regular Orbit, not the Pro or the IC

I run mine (softy tank) on 100% Blue, 0% Green and Red, and only 5 white. This ofcourse brings the wattage and par used down to almost half of it's rating.

My lights are next up for replacement. Current U.S.A lights are great for fish only systems and that is about it in my mind. They do not possess enough power or spectrums to work with on a reef tank. In order to get their full power you would have to run every spectrum at 100% and even then they are under powered, especially on the bottom of the tank. Many of my softies do not like too much white light.

Hydra 26's are coming soon for my nano.

I understand. Kudos to you on upgrading to the new light. I'm currently just running a Fowlr so Current USA is enough for me. Is it still good for softies though?
