The issue is you don't cut flow by 6x you instead increase watts x6. When you cut flow by 6 you end up with a greatly undersized UV for what you are trying to do with it. The flow should be picked by the size of your tank...then you get enough watts to do what you want @ that flow rate you already picked based on the size of the tank.
