Sorry if this isn't the right place to post, but I wasn't sure where else to ask.

So as the title says, is saltwaterfish.com reliable? I'm thinking about getting a lettuce nudibranch and royal gramma from there but I'm seeing a LOT of mixed reviews for them.

I will say I'm not a big fan of the store credit thing if a fish dies within 15 days, but if the survival rate is relatively high then maybe it's worth it?

Would really appreciate everyone's thoughts/opinions/experiences!

They usually have healthy fish. I think their guarantee system is very fair. But overall too pricy.

Have you ordered from them and would you recommend them?

I used to order from them all the time and recommend them. They raised their price a lot and some are flat out unreasonable. But sometimes have a decent deal. Their livestock is healthy and customer service is good.

That's pretty reassuring, thanks for your input :)

Anybody else's experiences?

I just looked and I have ordered from them 12 times over the years. Most of the orders come from Quality Marine a large wholesaler in LA which is true for most online sellers. I have had some losses but would not hesitate to order from them in the future. As mentioned earlier they have other company names that are all under the same umbrella company Deep Blue Seas LLC. Saltwaterfish.com, Reefs4Less.com, and OceansGarden.com are all the same company.

They are all the same quality and you can buy with the same confidence that you would have for a fish from LiveAquaria.com that is not being shipped from their Wisconsin facility.

So do you think it would be worth it to try ordering from them? It would be my first time with them

reefs4less is their "cheaper" online store.
prices are less, but they offer less guarantee with these fish.

I prefer tankstop over either though.
They've got some pretty good prices, but they don't have what I'm looking for unfortunately :/

Other than fish being a little smaller than described- Great packing and prompt delivery

Well that's not too bad. Would you recommend I try them out?
You wont be disaapointed. In comments, stress importance of desired size

Check out reef beauties. I've ordered from both and to me rb is better. I believe swa uses FedEx and they aren't very reliable in my area. My order made it at 11 pm last time. The last time I ordered from swa 3 of the four fish I ordered were emaciated. I couldn't believe they would send out fish like that. I mean bad so thin they were nearly translucent. Two died within a week.

I wouldn't hesitate. If they have what you are looking for then go for it.

When you say "swa" do you mean saltwateraquarium.com instead?

What you pay on that site you can get QT fish from Dr reef.
Yeah I did look into getting it from him too, but he doesn't have the lettuce nudibranch I'm looking for unfortunately

I think I might try it, but I am still looking for some last minute options from other people on here too :)

I put a lettuce nudi in my rather small tank once and never saw it again. Just saying it may have nothing to do with where it comes from.
