Auto top off is up and running ;Happy I am using the osmolater to push the BRS top off doser. I started working on the Auto water change system, and of course I need tube and fittings. Secret Santa pick the test kit from my list. The one I have is my original and about three years old. I do use a hana for alk but I do a random test just to check.

I built a box out of leftover exp-PVC

This is the top off control, The jbox has a dc supply for floats for the storage containers and a thin single pole relay,
only its not closing, not sure if it's too far from the tunze to drive or the relay is bad, so I'm using the brick on the receptacle. It's a home brew and doing the job, so I suspect the relay is nfg.

Oh this is how I interface the tunze and the doser, Just a cheap project box and parts off Amazon. The spring terminals
Accept the pump wires (12vdc) then I ran a 4/cond #18 cable down into the basement jbox, I use Velcro to mount the box.
Notice the 12vdc power port just in case.

Well the Coral delivery was disappointing, I received my order at 430 in the afternoon:mad: it seems everyone is going to
econo-overnight shipping. Well they did not save anything on this one, half the corals' were dead
When I took the box from UPS it was ice-cold and so were the corals The Moseleya survived although the edges are a little worse for wear but a large 5" wall hammer was gone, I stuck it in the tank (fish food;Meh) for picks back to UC.
Most of the acro frags are gone too. A purple torch I snagged on the live sale did make it.
I'll post pics when I clean the tank

Bummer. I ran into it last week too. Against my better judgement I ordered a wrasse and some shrimp. Arrived late and very cold. Saved the shrimp but lost the wrasse inside of 12 hours.
Kind of surprised they keep pushing live sales through December knowing shipping issues sky rocket. Must not affect them enough financially to hold off.

On the Amazon horizon I have a DC supply coming to power the controller and dosers, It's a quad tap 5 amp supply.
Im mounting it on the back of the controller board to save a little space. I still have to build one for the radions, I have a mountain of cords and bricks behind the stand;Yuck

I know, That order shipped the day that cold front moved thew the country plus holiday shipping makes it that much harder......NOW I did order a Jelly bean Chalice ;Woot but I scheduled the shipping for two weeks after the holiday.
First time I found a nice frag and the guy owed me some cash so..... gotta get the dosers online

Being that it appears you are into DIY and electronics, have you comsidered building a reef-pi or even multiple reef-pis for your system?

I would rather purchase a completed unit, its too much like work
A plc would be easy to do but would take up too much space and time. The Mix station is a prime candidate for a micro plc, I can write the code at work, I already have the equipment but its the time, I am on 12 hours most of the time
and when I do get time off its all catch up.

Who doesn't love PLC's or how they look when done right but, yeah, space can become an issue.

I did/do not know what you do for a living but hear what you're saying. Getting off of work to go home and "work" is certainly no fun, at all.

Tank is good, top off not so. The brs doser was just barely making it then the 12Volt micro relay fried so now top off 1.1
Diaphragm pump, and 3/8" tubing for top off. I just might use another to push SW up to the tank if the maxi cannot handle it. I have been using RS abc+ 1 scoop every other day.
Santa got me a Hanna salinity checker and I pick up a caddy from jesker ;Happy My wife thought it was a workbench organizer
