Sometimes you just discover new ways to explore your tank. These are top down photos of my tank and they give you an "Alice in Wonderland" view of my corals from the top down.

Sweet pics as always! looks like you have a chalice or lepto trying to slide down in the cracks on that third to last picture!

you are right, that was my Jason fox lepto, but no worries I picked him back up and settled him in his usual place

Absolutely stunning!!! Love the photos! <cleans drool off keyboard>
Thanks, I thought the perspective (top down) and the looking glass effect were pretty neat. Never seen the two together before and thought I would share. It is not with a fisheye lens, notice no distortion in the viewing. Its just through a looking glass so to speak like in Alice in Wonderland

Great shots man, if I owned this particular tank, I would lose sleep nightly with multiple nightmares about RTN...lol....No Jinx intended, just recovering (mentally/physically) from an RTN nightmare in an sps dom. tank Ive had for years.

Very, very, very nice from the top AND the front!!!!
thank you
Awesome tank!

Appreciate the positive feedback

Got a couple of updated shots from the other day

Great looking collection! That superman looks very cool! I have one like it, except mine turns greenish yellow on the tips. How long has this system been going?

Crashed almost two years ago, so this represents all new frags from that time.

love the top down shots!

What camera and lense are you using?

I have a Bowfront tank which I really like the look of but that glass curvature makes close-up photography front the front really challenging. So the top down makes for a much better focused picture. I had used a DIY acrylic viewing box but just purchased an avast top down port which is great and I think improved my picture taking. I use a Sony nex 7 camera with the kit 18-55 lens. All these pics were taken with that lens. It's not a macro but with lots of practice, I am slowly improving. I have a 90 mm macro lens but I dropped it, yes I did.
