watchguy, not sure if you've mentioned it somewhere else but could you post up your setup? What are you dosing?

Thanks

I use a calcium reactor for alk and ca. I don't dose anything else. I feed the fish both flakes and pellets; the coral get all the fish poo that they can.

Great growth progression picture! I am trying to figure out the best placement for my new frag ... does it do better in a shady area? My sandbed is 200 par and I don't want to burn it or bleach it if it's not a high light lover.

Well I have been busy with so many things that I have not posted pics late so I am correcting that issue this morning. I just upgraded my lights. bought a gorgeous used geismann fixture from a very cool reefer. Its a few years old but looks almost new. I am now using 3 x250 mh radium 20ks and four t5's 80 watts. The improvement in reflectors is resulting in this fantastic spread of light.

caveat on today's pictures, these were all with t5's only and no metal halide. i color corrected to 20 k in photoshop elements but the blue effect of the t5's lingers without having the metal halides fired up. I never shoot without metal halides on because it feels a little like cheating but its just too early in the day for the mh's to come on.

space invader pectinia

rhs del sol

reef tek starburst

red dragon (the t5's without the metal halides made this look much more purple than it is)

pink smoothie digitata

no namer chalice

couple more chalices

granulosa

couple more chalices

Carolinia ( it glows but the t5s gave it a peculiar green blue tint and it really is much more yellowish))

bloody mary palawanesi ( and yes it really has blue polyps)
