15 years ago we didn’t think that corals from different regions would be limited or even a total export stop as with fish too.
Next year April 1st they could implemented a coral tax on corals sold.
Not only the corals that are imported but every coral sold in the trade.

Sales tax and now a coral/fish tax Not sure how a captive aquacultured pet could be taxed, is there a puppy tax ? oops I said that too loud

Home grown corals is problem as that is uncontrollable.
LFS and online shouldn’t be a problem.

Nobody likes that thought.
In the dendro (frog) hobby they closed down the import of frogs for about 90% and most frogs you buy are CB in the US.
Prices went up way in the beginning but dropped a lot when ppl figured it out that it wasn’t hard to breed them.
A lot of the Orchids are captive grown too.
Imo it makes it more of a hobby but not everyone is that fortuned to do so with corals.
Many are just happy to keep them alive.

@siggy no, not a crewman. Explosive safety. Last unit I was in that was our air frame. That is our bird over Lake Tahoe Years before that I was aircraft armament on F-15's and somewhere in between there I was doing rapid runway repair stuff. I blame @Diesel for it He called me out on how I didn't have anything but letters so putting me on the spot I only had one or two options (PRESSURE - j/k) and that won out.

I did work with air crews a lot though due to the nature of the business. Especially while they did their combat air drops. Good air frame especially J models. I'm still pretty biased though and partial to the F-15's. I can admit it.

Thanks. Also let me clarify - it isn't EOD - the lads and lasses who disarm IED's. I am of a different discipline with regards to storing, moving, handling among other things, that do go boom Also work with flight and ground safety.

Tough stuff - when you mentioned that the first thing that came to my mind was a young Seaman being on a ship passing through the straight of Hormuz and being in charge of radar and threat analysis right now - that is tough
