Since I am a new member here, I thought I would post my build here too.

From 10/7/12:

I have decided to make a change to my current tank at work. Right now I am running a 25 gallon cube (18" around) from Mr. Aqua at work. For lighting I have been using an Aqua Illumination Sol Nano LED with controller. While I enjoy the look of the tank, I don't care for the lack of footprint that it offers. Because of this, I have decided to change over to a Deep Blue Professional Series frag tank. I have ordered the tank from my local fish store in the 30 gallon variety. The tank is in a few builds around here and the main reason I have decided to go this route. The tank is 24" x 24" and 12" tall. One of my favorite aspects of the tank is the stability of the base with a frame, but the rimless look at the top. Part of my research was looking for a new light setup because I was worried about the coverage the AI Nano would provide to a 24" x 24" footprint. After exhaustive reading, I decided to go with a T5 fixture and had heard great reviews on the ATI's. I ended up buying a 8 x 24" PowerModule from another member here on RC. Below are a few pictures of the ATI.

I will also be moving my EcoTech MP10WES to the new tank for flow. I have thought about adding a second, but will see what works after I have it up and running for a bit.

For livestock I currently have the following:
Black Ice Clownfish Mated Pair
Gold Banded Coral Shrimp
Porcelain Anemone Crab

And lastly the corals are:
Wide variety of Acan's
Couple colonies of Zoa's
Yellow Fiji Leather
Chalice (not sure variety)

I hope for this thread to become a journal of my highs and lows through this process and welcome any thoughts and opinions along the way!

Thanks for looking :)

From 12/4/12:

Well in the last few days I got my old tank broke down, all livestock settled in their new home (a large Rubbermaid tote), the stand built and the tank partially wet. I am letting the water clear up a bit tonight and look forward to moving the livestock over tomorrow.

From 12/5/12:

The tank is officially full of water and all livestock has been moved over as well. The walls are still getting a little dusty from the substrate being moved around a few times today, but hoping this clears up in the next few days. I will be interested to see how the corals react going from the AI Nano I had on my previous tank to the ATI Powermodule I have above this tank. Only time will tell.

I took a few photos tonight. Nothing spectacular, but enough to track the progress of the tank.

From 01/30/13:

Added a new millepora and moved a few corals around. I also messed with the white balance in Photoshop. I still think I need to find the sweet spot, but I'm getting closer.

Thanks again for looking and the positive feedback!

Love your tank! I also have a Deep Blue 30 Gallon tank. I have the reef ready model. Wish mine looked anywhere as nice as yours. Have had it set-up since last August.

I'll be following your thread!

Thank you very much! I debated on the reef ready model, but didn't want to run anything other than lights, pumps and a heater.

Love it!! Thanks for sharing!

Here are some updated photos from tonight. I did change my bulb combination since the last update. Thanks and as always, all and any comments are appreciated.

How often are you doing water changes? Also what are your water parms? How often are you feeding? I'm curious because of the SPS and the rest of the corals looking so nice.

Oh wait. I had to read the stock list again.
