Timothy's Deep Blue

How often are you doing water changes? Also what are your water parms? How often are you feeding? I'm curious because of the SPS and the rest of the corals looking so nice.

Oh wait. I had to read the stock list again.

I do a 10 gallon water change every 2 weeks. I use Reef Crystal salt for the changes at 35 ppm. I keep the temperature around 78. My alkalinity is around 7 dkh and 420 calcium. Last I checked my phosphate was around 0.08. A little higher than I like to see. The pH stays around 7.8 - 8. I feed a 'pinch' of flake food each night.

My coral list has gone predominantly SPS because my lights cause issues for LPS and softies.

Thanks for the interest and let me know if you have any other questions!

Very impressive, what filtration do run, Biopellets/GFO/Skimmer?

Very nice tank! How do you keep your water surface so clean without a surface skimmer/ overflow?

You know, I have no idea. It hasn't been anything I really have thought about or dealt with. The MP10's do break up the surface a decent amount, so this may help.

I think the PO4 is a little higher than anyone wants to see. Thanks for the info. Do you dose alk or calcium between water changes?

I don't at this point. I have entertained the idea, but haven't acted on it.

Just wondered. How big of a drop are you seeing between water changes in Alk and Ca? Sorry, I'm amazed with this tank and the lack of most equipment used on a typical reef tank.

I haven't been the greatest at keeping up on parameter checks. Each time I have done it they were in the range mentioned above. I'll try to check each Monday for a few weeks and post back the info then. Thanks for the interest. I appreciate it.
