Well it's a 45long but same foot print. Rock doesn't touch the back glass

Here’s my first attempt at both aquaria and aquascaping. It’s a 120 peninsula build, so visible from three sides. Not a tremendous amount of coral yet, but I'm getting there. Please excuse the poor cell phone pictures.

This question gets thrown around alot... And im gonna put it simple.folks. one we all outgrow our tanks no matter how big we all wish we had just a little more room. The important thing to think anout is what do u like or want ? What do ur fish require ? Do u have room for coral ect ? Just do it how YOU want. Not what everyone else thinks looks good

I hated my rock scape for the first 18 months my tank was running. In that time I did 2 complete overhauls and countless major/minor tweaks. Went from rock wall to 2 islands ( 1 lg, 1 sm) to 3 islands and back to 2 equal sized. I was never happy. Then I started working to get custom vidarock scape made. I read all the horror stories about the frustrations people had with the process as well as how long it took, but went for it. It took a 3+ months and a lot of phone calls and emails, but in the end it was completely worth it. I absolutely love my rockscape now. I get giddy every time I walk into the room.

I pretty much knew everything you listed in the article, I've always spent more time on my aquascape than anything else when I set up a tank. Here's my design, in a 34 gallon solana.

This one took about 3 months, from acid wash, dry, build and cure.

I used a few different water epoxy, hundreds of zip ties, (used different colors for holding and white for permanent). Superglue, acrylic rods, pvc, (base).

I was looking for a few things I learned from this article as well.
Main objectives were to keep it off sand bed, off glass, and coral placement. Along with room for growth on the few corals I want.

I started off with about 30# rock, and just kept cracking / breaking it as I was constructing. Trying to keep a natural look and "flow".

There are approx: 45 individual pieces now.

I would place the rocks and zip tie together. I didn't epoxy anything until I was happy. Let it cure for a few days then build more.

The only thing I don't like, is I tried to keep it off center in the tank. The top right branch may go away and slide the structure over to the right.

The base is zip tied to pvc with fittings to keep it upright, not wobble,
And only go around the rock base.

I think it came out great! Personally I like it as it is, but it would still look great if you decide to remove the right branch. Very good method and attention to detail. Looks to be the start of a killer nano!
