hi R2R ,
As the titel says ive sold my magnifica anamone because Well hes To big for my tank .. problem he sits attached under one of my main display rocks .. at the moment ive got a powerhead on him in the hope he Will let go and move ...
I can pull the rock but its a lot of work ( busy now filling a container big enough ..
Never done this before and i dont wanna rip him of the rock .. ive found a good home for him Nice big tank ..
Ive read everything i can find , so i know About putting ICE cubes in a bag and massaging th foot .. but I will only be able too do that if I pull the rock first and can get too his foot .. gonna have too take apart half my rockscape for this :(
Where do aim the powerhead ..at him full on ??try too get under him ??
Thanks in advance
Mack

That's a beautiful nem. I would aim it straight at him. The more uncomfortable the better in this case. If you can get ice cube in a bag close to the foot at all with the power head, that may speed up the results. I know you said it's tucked in the rock good...

Edit- check out this thread, lots of good advice

I’ve had the powerhead on him for about an hr now ..turned the light off above him ..I am slowly increasing the powerhead ..he’s not budging :(
Got my water ready now so I can pull the rock ..but first I gotta pull some other corals off first .. but gonna give it a couple of more hrs yet with the power head

Mag love light and flow. I don't think high flow will make it move. How about using the PVC pipe trick? Maybe Amoo will have a better idea. Btw, wear gloves. If you are allergic to its sting, you will be sick for weeks :)

Congrats. The thing we go through for these guys! Are you shipping it to the buyer?
No he’s coming too op pick it up in a couple of hrs ... I’m just glad I’ve found a much bigger home for him ..

Nice tank. What's that white stuff?
Thanks .. do you mean the sand :D:p just joking .. if you mean the white in the middle of the foto .. that’s just shimmer effect from water on my blue back ground( camera picks it up) ....if you mean the white on the right side above the green stylo .. that’s just rock been turned upside down so no coralline algae in places ..!

absolutely gorgeous anemone! but just to clarify you have a heteractis crispa or "sebae" anemone not heteractis magnifica.
Actually I used too have one !!! :p:D But thanks how can you tell and what’s the difference if I may ask ?
