to acan or not to acan....

I have no Acans and I am thinking buying some. Before I buy anything is there anything I should know? I have read they are super easy.

Target feeding seems to help keep them happy also.

I like to place same species close enough so that they "grow together" forming an acan garden. Only caution: you'll soon become addicted and lose interest in other corals.

They grow new heads fragging isn't necessary. Target feeding them imo is very important they really like that. In my tank they're fast growers as well. I have mine placed on the bottom of my tank in lower light. They like nitrates and some phosphates for good coloration.

Acans are great and the do grow. Target feeding is good for them. They seem to like moderate light and flow. I keep mine near the bottom of the tank on their own rock. They seem very happy.

You can read different opinions; mine take regular coral foods readily and seem to do pretty well.

I target feed my acans mysis shrimp a couple times a week. They grow new heads like crazy. I like taking mine off of plugs and pitting them on discs or tiles for more horizontal growth.
