You might consider adding bio pellets, they will eventually keep your nitrates down. Also be aware that depending on which test kit you are using, you may not be getting an accurate reading. I have heard this several times with the API kits.

ChemiClean is a good option for cyano and seems to be harmless to your other inhabitants if you can't kick it quickly by addressing your water quality issues.

I would think the problem would be food related.
 
You should be able to feed your fish and corals plenty every day. If you're getting a buildup of nitrates and nuisance algae/cyanobacteria growth your skimmer isn't cutting it and an upgrade is in order. The NAC6 is rated for larger tanks, but that's quite the generous rating.
