What amazes me about an eclipse is that conditions need to be PERFECT in a planetary system. And I mean perfect. It's taken for granted here. The odds are literally astronomical that we live on a planet that supports such an event.

Here in AZ we got 64% coverage. Unfortunately this is at the peak for us.

I couldn't even tell you were the sun was in the sky it was so cloudy today.
Then right at the end of peak coverage for our area the clouds finally broke.

90% or so by me. Cloud cover waited until it peaked to really show up, so at least I got to see that part. It did make photos a lot easier.

I just think it is cool that something out there can make so many people from different backgrounds and beliefs take a collective breath to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Thank you to all who were able to share photos.
