I have very large tonga shelf piece and a single branch piece...both from BRS. Tonga is very dense and not very porous. I love it for scaping and a centerpiece but it's not a great source of surface area for filtration. YMMV

I just have a couple of small RealReef branches that I stuck in to grow zoanthids. Kind of keeps them from spreading out of control.
